super-frape

Having got back to college early, Joe and I decided to uber-frape Tom. We covered his windows, sink/cupboard, light switch and keyhole in newspaper, hid his duvet under his mattress and stuck his cello in the centre of the room dressed in his lab coat. We then hid and waited for the reaction - I had to bite my tongue so hard to stop myself laughing as he stomped off to Manasi's room at 2am to look for his duvet ... We then rang his phone from my room which we'd also carefuly wrapped with the Oxstu ^_^

Got bored before going out and needed a pic..

If Amelia were an animal...

...she'd be a cat. I love the look of contentment on her face! We decided that if we were all animals:

Tom Smith= meerkat
Amelia = cat
Marja = flamingo or peacock
Me = fieldmouse
Tom Davies = Hare
Sam = Owl

The day i heard Jane Goodall speak

I was very fortunate to be able to go and hear Jane Goodall speak at the Oxford Union. She seemed very down-to-Earth and honest, I would've loved to have been able to talk to her during the book signing but she was very busy. Afterwards I had supper at Ben's :)

2/38 college formal hall at New

Fellow Biologist, Jess (who is also friends with Alice), invited us to formal at New college. I'm hoping to eat at every college (except the grad. ones) before leaving and so far I'd only been to formal hall at Hertford! After a meal of caesar salad, pasta bake and AMAZING chocolate cake we went exploring the college in the dark. Some of the corridors surrounding the quads were unlit except for the light of the moon so we had to use my camera and Alice's phone as torches. I asked everyone to do a scared face in the dark and then took a pic with flash...

Tourists for the day

Second day with Cheffi and Marianne. We visited Christ Church among other touristy things in Oxford AND got Millie's cookies (only the best cookies in the world..). Felt slightly lonely once they'd left.

Its so hard being this popular, right? Chesca, Steffi and Marianne came to stay for the weekend and, while mum, dad and I went to the parent's lunch at Hertford, Chesca and Steffi (a.k.a Cheffi) had a look round Oxford. Being the ditzy little things they are, I'm sure they had a great time which was only made better by the fact that they found the forever-inflated balloons left over from my birthday..

One word: Ew!

Whilst frapping Tom I made a "horrifik" discovery. An open packet of pitta bread from 1st week which'd gone off in january. I screamed and dropped it to the floor which made a cloud of green dust/mold emerge from the opening.....seriously traumatising! Had to take a pic as I've never seen anything so moldy in my life...

The day anna came to stay

I was in desperate need of some anna time and was soooo happy when she showed up in Oxford! We went to the Valentines day party at Thirst Lodge (which was kinda empty..) and had muchos fun :) Tom was also happy as he'd finally found someone else who enjoys being mean to me >_<

Valentines Day

After putting candy hearts in people's pidges Dani and I went to look around the covered market...I took this pic while she looked at the flowers in the florist's stall

Dani, Cocktails and Kukui

The day Dani came to stay. We went to Boaty Cocktails and proceeded to Kukui and later pancakes with nutella in my room (yum!).

Chocolate

Went to free chocolate even with Alice before Valentine's day and brought back some for Amelia and Marja.

Tennis avec Tom

Tom taught me a bit of tennis and creeped me out with his scarily strong backhand..

Chinese Lantern Festival

I encouraged Alice and Amelia to come along to a party held by the Chinese students staying in Hertford. It was VERY scary and included people singing along to "Yellow Submarine" -eep.

The day I attempted to make potato and leek soup and FAILED. I shall call it "dirty pond water"..Amelia would be proud..

First day, Birthday

First post! Taken around 2am on the morning of the 2nd of February..it'd begun to snow so we all ran around Oxford singing and screaming in our PJs. As well as meeting my birthday twin (Sam from Jesus?!) Amelia and Alice got married in the snow :) Afterwards, everyone came back to mine for chocolate cake and again at 8am for present opening-ness ^_^
