Today we went to the town of Kelso to have a look around (Chesca and I bought some delicious tablet/fudge in the lcoal sweet shop for mum and dad). We then ate tea with homemade scones in the ... hotel which overlooked the gardens and river. It must've been an old fashioned hunting hotel where guests stayed around Aumtumn before going on shooting parties. We ate supper at Liddy and Chris' (Liddy is dad's old friend from Oxford). Chris is a sculptor and Liddy is Sir Thomas Beecham's granddaughter so their house was pretty interesting to say the least!
After supper, Chris gave us a guided tour around their garden which has a numerous assortment of different rare plants and trees inclding a Walami pine from Kew 0_o
